Philippe and Véronique make some of the most stylish Blanc de Blancs Champagne we have ever tried. Even their labels are beautiful and are graced by playful and elegant cherubs. It might sound a bit frou frou, but it isnt. They have 4.5 hectares with over 47 plots that have many different nuances of soil types and sun exposure which all contribute different attributes to their wines. This is the same wine as their Zero Dosage but with 3g/l of sugar at bottling. This finishing touch creates a slightly rounder and richer palate which remains notably chiselled. This delivers notes of zesty citrus fruits, lemongrass, apples and almonds. The palate offers fine bubbles that lead to an impressive finish. Available in multiple formats. Robin Kick MW says "Véronique Glavier is the marketing mind behind the domaine. Passionate about cherubs and guardian angels, she named this cuvée after Alphaël, the angel of light and knowledge. As they only produce Chardonnay, a luminous variety, she felt it was the perfect match. An ethereal, beautiful wine."
